Education and Professional Affiliations:

I earned my Masters Degree in Human Nutrition from Colorado State University and trained and worked in the Boston teaching hospital system (interning at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and working at Children’s Hospital Boston for 4 years thereafter) for 5 years before moving to the amazing San Francisco Bay Area in 2010. I am currently based out of Santa Cruz, CA.

I’m a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, am proud to have served as the media co-chair for the Bay Area IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorders Providers) Board from 2012-2017.

In 2022 I became certified as a Gut Practitioner, using Functional Medicine to treat gut health concerns.

Another one of my passions is teaching yoga to people of all ages, all body shapes and sizes, and all ability levels. I am a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certified Restorative and Vinyasa Yoga Teacher with 10 years experience teaching yoga and a strong anatomical knowledge base. I continue to deepen my knowledge of teaching through teacher trainings in the Iyengar style of yoga, and in January 2011 completed a month-long intensive at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India. In my classes, I seek to provide a nourishing, safe environment to explore and heal the body and decrease stress.
